Our staff consists of some of the top trainers and coaches in the area. We all share the same core belief that basketball is a sport that can be played at any age and any skill level. It can be played for fun as well as competitive. Our goal is to teach the fundamentals that will give players the ability to succeed on the court.

Charles Tracey

Director of Basketball Operations

Charles has been involved in structured teaching, playing and coaching of basketball for over 35 years. He has coached recreation, traveling All-Stars, and AAU teams in the community. Charles lives in Covington with his wife and three children. His family is very active in our community and the local basketball scene. Charles was the Head Girls Basketball Coast at Lakeshore High School and  Hannan High School Head Basketball Coach. Charles grew up in Kenner and played in Biddy programs from 9-12 yrs. old. He participated in four National Biddy Tournaments, winning a National championship in Puerto Rico in 1976. He played High School Basketball at De La Salle High School in New Orleans through his Senior Year. He was coached by some of the best Biddy coaches in the area as well by Jim Tillette his Senior year. In fact, Jim won the Louisiana State Championship in 1986 before moving on to become the head coach at Samford in Birmingham, AL.

Onochie Ochie


Onochie Ochie Jr. was born on July 24, 1992 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He is the son of Dr. Charles and Chinelo Ochie. Ochie is one of four children and his family is from Nigeria. Onochie Ochie Jr. starred at Westover High School in Albany Ga. Ochie led Westover High to a pair of regional championships, two appearances in the Georgia HS Final Four, and an appearance to the Georgia 1-AAA state championship game. Ochie earned First-Team All Region 1-AAA, First Team All-Area, and All State honorable mention, while being rated the No. 10 small forward in the state of Georgia by Ochie also won the Deep South All-Star High School Basketball Classic's All-Star dunk contest as a senior. Ochie earned a basketball scholarship to Southeastern Louisiana University of the Southland Conference where he was a high level and productive player for four years. After completing his college career for the Lions, Ochie signed a professional basketball contract to play for the Bis Baskets of Speyer, Germany.

Max Ward

Director of Travel basketball

Max Ward, Currently assistant basketball coach at Northshore High School. Max is our Head of AAU Travel Teams for Louisiana Titans, Basketball Skills Groups and Individual Trainer. Max has experience coaching on the collegiate level for 13 years at Johnson and Wales University, RI (2) and California State University Dominguez Hills (11).  During Max's time as an college coach in California he trained NBA players for Impact Basketball and the world famous basketball trainer Joe Abunassar.  Max works with kids year round either coaching teams of players, training players in small groups or individually.  He is a shooting specialist but his vast experience helps him connect and communicate with the players to help maxout their talents as a complete basketball players.

Ryan Lewis

Senior Trainer

Ryan parlayed his 6'9" frame into a frontcourt career, first at the University of Georgia for two years then at the University of Jacksonville. Originally a graduate of Lakewood High School in St. Petersburg FL, Ryan has mentored young prospective basketball players as a Basketball Camp Counselor in Georgia for two years then again in Jacksonville for another two. Now a resident of Mandeville, Ryan advises our coaches and players on drills, footwork, and schemes for our forwards and centers. He also works with our AAU teams to advance our players' skill and basketball IQ. Ryan has been with our Center for two years.

Elicia Ocmond

Senior Trainer

Elicia has been involved in coaching and training basketball for ten years. Prior to coaching and training she played on the Mandeville Biddy travel All-Star teams, AAU basketball for Mandeville Magic, and varsity basketball at Mandeville High School c/o 2008. She started as point guard lettering all four years there. Senior year she was selected to the All-Star Game, and was selected Honorable Mention Academic All-State. In 2008-2009 she played guard one season for Millsaps College Women’s Basketball Team. She resigned as a player and continued coaching and training at Northshore Sportsplex where she has remained for the past ten years. Elicia began coaching high school basketball in 2013 as the  Girls Assistant Coach at St. Scholastica Academy in Covington, La. She continued coaching there moving into the Head Coaching position in  2016.

Zay Jackson


  Started basketball career playing for St. Thomas Aquinas where he was a 4 year all state player, 2A state Champion and Gatorade player of the year in Louisiana. After finishing his high school career he attended Murray State University where he received the new comer of the year award in the OVC(Ohio Valley Conference). From there he went on to play 1 more season at Murray State before transferring to Southeastern Louisiana University. While playing at SLU he was named All-conference both years and lead the team in scoring, assists and steals. After finishing up at SLU he then played professionally over seas and in Canada for several years.


Jason White

Titans Business Manager

Jason is a local entrepreneur who also happens to have a passion for helping youth grow in life through athletics. He played basketball and football both throughout high school. He then chose to take a Division I scholarship to play quarterback at Kent State University in Ohio. However, basketball was always his first love.  He is currently the head basketball coach at Lake Castle/Madisonville. He oversees the 4th through 8th grade teams. He has also been coaching AAU basketball and recreational basketball for years in the local area.
